Competing in the 604 Late Model portion of the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series event at Ultimate Motorsports & RV Park (Elkin, N.C.), Dalton Jacobs was one of 18 604 Late Models checked in on Friday afternoon.
Clocking in third-quickest in qualifying, Jacobs was running inside the Top-5 when a mechanical failure forced him to pull in early.
